I offer counselling in Bedfordshire from my practice in Biggleswade and online from anywhere in the UK, supporting you in exploring feelings of anxiety, depression and general stuckness.  Together we can make sense of what's holding you back and help you to regain a greater sense of control in your life, for example:

  • talk about your issues without fear of being judged or criticised so you can offload to have space to think more clearly.

  • build more confidence in the choices you make and develop  your own coping strategies that work for you

  • set your own boundaries so you have more space to live the way you want to, and to sleep better at night and lessen the guilt of saying no in work or personal relationships.

I’m someone who has spent over 25 years in education, supporting people to grow, understand themselves, and feel more at home in who they are. Alongside my work as a Counselling Tutor, I specialise in supporting adults who carry the impact of childhood trauma and those who identify as neurodivergent , whether formally diagnosed or self‑identified.

My approach is integrative and deeply relational. I draw from person‑centred, psychodynamic, and existential perspectives, alongside, breathwork, and a trauma‑informed, neurodivergence‑affirming lens. What this means in practice is that we work with both your inner world and your nervous system, honouring your pace, your story, and your way of being.

Many of the people I work with have spent years masking, over‑adapting, or feeling misunderstood. They’ve learned to survive by disconnecting from their bodies or by shaping themselves around the needs of others. I hold all of that with compassion and curiosity.

Through breathwork, we help your nervous system find steadiness and safety, especially if you’ve lived in fight‑or‑flight or shutdown for a long time. It’s a gentle way to reconnect with your body, honouring sensory needs and pacing.

Through psychodynamic work, we explore the relational templates shaped in childhood, how you learned to attach, protect yourself, and navigate connection. For neurodivergent clients, this often includes unpacking experiences of rejection, misunderstanding, or feeling “out of place.”

Through a person‑centred and existential lens, we focus on your lived experience, your meaning‑making, your values, and your sense of self. You are the expert on your life; I’m here to walk alongside you as you explore what feels authentic, possible, and true for you.

My work is collaborative, slow‑paced, and deeply attuned. You don’t need to mask, perform, or fit into a neurotypical mould here. You get to show up exactly as you are

All my work is trauma-informed, and I work with the understanding that we often carry unprocessed emotions in our bodies. This can lead to feeling disconnected from ourselves, stuck in patterns of overthinking, and unable to fully feel. Part of our work together is to gently build self-awareness and to notice these patterns, reconnect with your emotional experience, and begin living more in the present from a place of safety.

Breathwork is an important part of this process. It helps calm the nervous system, release tension held in the body, and create a sense of internal steadiness. For many people, especially those who have experienced trauma or long‑term stress, breathwork offers a gentle way to reconnect with themselves without feeling overwhelmed.

I have a particular interest in loss, grief, and bereavement, including the unique challenges of caring for loved ones and the experience of ambiguous grief—when someone is physically present but emotionally or psychologically changed, or when a loss has no clear ending. I also work with childhood and developmental trauma, anxiety, low self‑esteem, and loss of identity. These experiences can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are now. Together, we explore these feelings at your pace, helping you move from surviving to feeling more grounded, connected, and able to thrive.
